In order to explore opportunities to integrate the concept of quality of care and quality assurance more clearly into the PBF system, KIT was invited to co-facilitate a regional workshop regrouping the three country teams, their colleagues within the ministries of health and the regional office of HealthNet/ TPO. The workshop aimed to further develop and discuss the PBF system and to exchange experiences. It took place from 4-7 September in Butembo- Nord Kivu, DRC.

Wau  is a town in southern Sudan and the capital of the West Bahr al Ghazal state. During the recent civil war it was a government-held garrison town, and was the scene of extensive fighting in the spring of 1998.
